Like all electric guitars in fantasy worlds, this one works without an amp or electricity, and yet can produced a loud, amplified sound ... unless the plot demands that it needs lightning or something to work in a specific instance. The strings will never break, and it will never need tuning ... and at some point Elvis will turn up and claim it as his own.
