And now the tale of a party of adventurers who got lost in a dungeon ... and the one Paladin who had no choice but to try and save them. It's Character Development.

The monster on this page is a large ball of possum fur with eyes stuck to it. Possums are pests in this country ... introduced for their fur, they destroy native forests at an alarming rate.

Yup, that's me in the last two frames of this episode. No-one answered the call to have their ugly mugs in this strip, so you'll have to put up with mine.
And yes, Charlie Sheen stole my hat.
And yes, that's a possum-fur ball with eyes.
And no, that was not the end of the story ... a new episode starts tomorrow, entitled 'More Possible Words'.

The monster is a child's squeaky bath toy. It just happened to be lying around when I needed something.
You have less than 24 hours to give me a picture of you or someone else looking down at a pair of dice if you want to be in this episode. Otherwise it'll be a picture of me ... and no-one wants that.

The end? How often I came to my end going through those old Choose-Your-Own-Adventure books.
Last year I got my hands on a job lot of old roleplaying books, including some Pick-A-Path and Fighting Fantasy books, including Warlock of Firetop Mountain ... a great little nostalgia trip. That inspired me to write this and the next episode of CD.
The 'Dark One' on this page is a child's toy, a stuffed squid from Wellington Zoo, that my son sleeps with at night. If you look closely you can see the spit stains.

Many thanks to the lovely hand-model -- who flew halfway across the world to be photographed for this page.
If you'd like to be seen on the last page of this episode I need a picture of one or two people looking down at some dice in disbelief. Only a few days to go ... get clicking.

A quick recap ...
Remember, episode 28 of this comic needs a photo of YOU! I need a person (or two people) staring down at two dice in disbelief as the dice have just rolled less than 2 (which is unlikely, if not impossible).
This is your chance to appear personally in a barely read webcomic!

George the Dragon appears very briefly on pages 3 and 4 of this week's episode. After that, you'll have to get your George fix in his own webcomic by Gary Lougee.

A new episode starts tomorrow ...
George the Dragon appears briefly in the next episode as well. Thanks again to Gary Lougee for letting me Playmobilize his wonderful creation. Go check his comic out (and help him find his stolen car).
This was fun to do, and I'm hoping to have more crossovers and guest-appearances with all sorts of comics and characters in the future. If you have an idea send me a message.

There was some debate in my household over the wording on this page. Originally I wrote the script with the word 'man' ... but then I changed it to humanoids since that was more inclusive and less sexist. My wife said man was much funnier as 'man'. We discussed this at length, and in the end she won (because she was right). So, I do apologize if George the Dragon comes across as a little sexist and racist here, but you can blame my wife.
